Perception

Madhulika :What keeps you going ?
My soul :I have always taken it as a Challenge, challenge to self, have tried gathering strength and open the gates of communication at places where they had been closed in the past.
Madhulika :What have you gained ?
My soul :I enjoy the achievement and the pride of doing something that everyone thought could never be done.
Madhulika :Do you gain 100% success ?
My soul : Yes ,because ultimately everybody is a human and all have feelings. Except , when the gates could never be opened because it was perceived that my success was their failure. :D

Individual Goals Taking Over

I often wonder if I (being idle all the time, having all the time to think of the world and about everyone I know and i have always believed I can do Anything and Everything) am also unable to do anything about it ,So how should this world be improved?

Now plz frds dun start giving suggestions like ' u can't change the ppl n all ' . Will you like your kids to grow up with the mentality that exploiting others is absolutely fine unless caught ? Will you want your children to be insensitive about the feelings of their blood relations, teachers ,friends ,colleagues and neighbors ? Or will you teach your kids to be SELFISH ? I think some parents who have felt the inconvenience in their lives by being ethical and morally good ,don’t want their kids to go through the same.So ,they perhaps try to build them strong. But over generations the mentality that will be considered normal will actually be a destructive one. A matter of big concern for humanity.

One can't change the existing but one can definitely communicate to the upcoming generation what is right and what not . On this too some of u might say ' There is nothing like rght or wrong'. Of course claiming others' stuff as your own is wrong, killing is wrong and so many such things are wrong Because they are INHUMAN. If a person can't think ( having no time I consider is also no excuse as one always has time for kids) or keeps ignoring then I think it is a disrespect to the people(including our ancestors) who have taken EXTRA pains throughout their lives to maintain a CLASS in their behavior.
Some people have even questioned me “ Why don’t you do anything about it ?”

‘Is my answer to this question the same as theirs ? ‘,is the question I have in my mind now.

But if this is the case then I should have seen or atleast felt their concern/efforts. It seems to be that the ones questioning me have ignored and accepted the things as they are/will be OR either they have given up.

Yes it requires a Great amount of strength discussing, planning and executing things that is not everybody or anybody’s cup of tea.

SO does it mean that NOTHING can be done and things will be as they are and worsen with time? So have we humans, the most intelligent species on this planet , given up ?

HUMAN ,the most intelligent species Dies as being the Most Foolish on Earth.

Mystery

Last night watched the movie 'Ek Villain'. Why and How one becomes a loser ? Is there anything we can do to change the psychology of a 'Villain'?

I think every human has that 'killer instinct' hidden in oneself. It depends on the environmental factors and the people around to bring out that evil or bring out the best in you. In the movie ,the role played by Hritesh Deshmukh tells us that a loser/frustrated personality kills the outside world to become a hero in the family.Alternatively there might be some sick people ( who have this strange complex ) who opt for defaming their own family to become a hero for the outside world.

In the latter case, the family can opt for helping the patient;but that can only be done if the patient agrees to seek medical help and help from the well wishers and do not take it on his ego. This might be difficult because a loser if agrees to seek help from anybody ,his mindset would make him feel that he is again not a hero.
Or the family can opt to escape/leave such an environment. This looks a more suitable option as the instincts of the villain tend to calm down only when the family gets defamed and only when the family itself becomes a villain( i.e. members adopt wrong and bad words/gestures/thoughts/deeds etc.)

I chose the option to escape because I could neither tolerate myself being defamed nor could I compromise on my principles and values (that my parents ,family and teachers had worked upon hard over the years) to calm down my instincts (that were provoked intentionally).I can't and never want to become a villain. This option has worked for me till now.

But,in life one strategy that works at one time for one person not necessarily may work for everyone. Feel free to discuss and share your views/experiences and thoughts here.

HOAX

Hello Friends !

What's right and what's wrong !! What's good and what's bad !!! are subjective terms, yet there are certain characteristics and traits that make a human a human and that that are absolute good and absolute bad.

The following are just few lines that may help in identifying the good and the bad.

When a "good " thing stays with a "bad" one.The bad will try to do either of the two options - First , try to convert the good into bad .Second, to get rid of the good any how.The good also will have 2 options. First ,to convert the bad into good .Second, to get rid of it anyhow. :P
But the reason for choosing the second option is different in both the cases. And that speaks all. Here is an example to make it clear.

I feel that the good will keep standing unaffected n strong and the bad will everytime try to escape or shy away from facing it. And even further, to prove this point in its favour ,the bad will start doing things that will compell the good to somehow appear to be escaping facing the bad. ( compell only bcoz the good will never fall down below a certain level bcoz it is gud ). And the good will not face the bad ... not face it .. not bcoz gud is avoiding .. but bcoz bad is not in a frame to understand n bcoz bad is being bad.

Will It Ever Change ?

She kept reminding that she was being harassed n humiliated repeatedly,
She shared her intuitions and what She feared in future,
She could explain the reasons for all her thoughts and give logic for everything she believed,
She was open to discussion ,feedback and open to change.
But they kept suppressing her, they kept doubting her intelligence,
it seemed they never believed her as they never showed that they believed her,
all they wanted was that she should understand the system, the society and the environment ,
they wanted her to survive the same way most of them did.
She could understand their concern too.
But She ...She is Made Different...
Unfortunately, 'They' are her own people and I am 'She'.

BEING HUMAN

Hello Friends !!! After two long years today I have been inspired by a post from my dear classmate Sweta Chaudhary, titled ' To Be Nice Or Not To Be'. After reading her post the following thoughts came pouring into my mind that I share with you all now.

From the past 5 years I have been pondering over this issue and trying to figure out why some people are nice ( like me ) and why some are not so ( I am sure they are good but here I am particularly referring to greeting !).  You wouldn't believe but at one point of time my whole life was revolving around this trivial issue. However I thought that my being nice would be acknowledged and this could in no way cause pain to anyone, until I got to know a different mindset of some people. I agree with you (Sweta ) that good manners are not only because of convent school teachings. But they are because of one's inner feelings. I feel happy and excited to see any known person at any time of the day. And therefore a BIG 'HI ' with a smile comes out spontaneously. Although over a period of time I have realized that some people don't get it right and they become judgmental. I have figured out 3 things they would usually conclude.

1). Here comes the convent girl to flaunt her etiquette - such people will always feel belittled even if my intentions will never be to do so. Probably because they were not fortunate enough to experience such schooling. Or maybe they have some complex within themselves.

2).What’s there to be so happy about ! She must be having some work – Such thoughts are justified as mostly people become good only when they have some work. For example , wishing on birthdays in corporate is considered as a marketing practice by consumers who fail to understand that genuinely we like to wish someone on his/her special day.

3).  The old behenji is here. – I don’t understand how greeting somebody can be linked to being backward. Yes there are ego issues many times as to who will wish whom first and mostly the one with more concern ( usually the so called backward person )  initiates.

Even after knowing all this I am not able to overcome my ‘ Being Nice’ to everyone because the roots of it have grown very strong over the years. And unfortunately people around think that it is them who deserve good treatment.

Not only schooling, the family environment plays a more important role in inculcating good habits. I see lessons of good habits in every child’s school books. These are probably the first few lessons that every child learns in his/her school ,no matter if it is Catholic or not. But how many kids are able to stick onto these and for how long depends on the external environmental factors.  When I figured out why some people are not particular about greeting , I came up with this answer. Some people like to be informal and carefree. They prefer not to take pains. They feel more close to each other while being informal .They have separate formal relations where they can show their etiquette .Like may be their work place. (But my experience in few of my workplaces with few colleagues have been different ).

So I think it’s all about how you perceive and how much attention you wish to pay to it. Many of my friends ( since my graduation days ) are trying to convert me into an informal girl and they are failing repeatedly :P .I have been given titles like “Miss Formality “ , “ Ma’am Apologetic” etc . Some friends have become formal like me now.And we laugh at this today . It is good that we understand each other and respect each other’s feelings. Again I would like to mention that this TRIVIAL thing can never come in-between the strong bonds that I share with my near and dear ones.

For the world today  ‘I Care A Damn’ Attitude is In ,and ‘Yes ,I Do Care’ Attitude is Out.
But for me only true inner feelings matter. And so do all the people I have met because God has sent them in my life, and Yes , I proudly confess , I Do Care for them all.

MY STREET DANCER

I am just LOVING LOVING LOVING this ad a lot.........

Not only because it has a very catchy music but because I associate myself with it to a great extent.

I love each and every concept used in this ad;the casting, direction, expressions of actors, perfect timing of the dance steps, music and much more.

Those who do not like this ad I think they have not got the real meaning of it :).Let me share my say on this exceptionally rocking ad.

Oh My !!! Even while writing this post I am continuously listening to its tune... n it's driving me mad... hehehe.I am filled with excitement and joy.:)

This is one of the new Airtel Ads named 'The Street Dancer'.The other one is 'Endless Goodbyes',but I like this one more.

The ad begins with showing a young lad dancing on a busy street. He is doing 'Street Break Dance' when a 'Busy Female Executive' spots him.She cant take her eyes off his super dancing and starts enjoying it. She also notices that this entertainer follows her in every direction she goes ( at 0:18 sec in the video ).She checks her watch ( at 0:28 sec in the video ) and moves on for work,as she can't afford to stay longer. But this dancer now follows her through the crowd and catches up with her.She smiles seeing the boy who makes her happy and who is her favorite entertainer now.He continues dancing while the lady is walking. They both move together enjoying every moment.

The end of this ad shows many busy people in the background moving with their own favorite entertainers. At 0:50 sec in the video, notice two tall clowns, one in red trouser and the other in black, walking with a man.Just in front ,two dwarfs fighting and following a man wearing purple sweater( the ad is shot predicting winters :) .Another entertainer( I see she is a lady ) is shown playing with fire torch moving across the street. This commercial ends with a voiceover stating that in Airtel's world entertainment will never stop, followed by the tag line , 'Dil Jo Chahe Paas Laye.'

The color scheme used in the ad is very apt for the winter season. The green jacket of the street dancer, black formal outfit of the lady, rest being the shades of purple and grey. One word 'PERFECT'.

The addicting song is composed by none other than Mr. A.R. Rahman. The street dancer role is played by Harihar Das from India's Got Talent Khoj 2.The female model is American actress and song writer Demetria Devonne 'Demi' Lovato.

For those wondering how I associate myself with this ad,here I disclose:

I see myself as the busy lady and my 'Street Dancer' is TWITTER ;).

I thank the whole team of Airtel ,especially the ad makers (Mr. Maneesh Rangra,Mr.Adrian Miller,Mr. Mohit Beotra,mr. Ashish Khazanchi,Ms. Shweta Khosla and the entire team ) for bringing up such a wonderful wonderful video and for charging me up all over again.

N.B. Kindly feel free to share your views on the ad and also on my post :)

Flowers

When I was in my 3rd standard, we girls were asked to choose one hobby each for the weekly hobby-classes. Since I never liked embroidery, I didn't choose that.Singing was ( and is still) not my cup of tea,so I ignored that.Games and sports were a part of the curriculum so they were not in the option.I had already joined dance classes elsewhere, so the only option I was left with was FLOWER- MAKING.In school , my teachers taught me to make different kinds of beautiful flowers with paper.I remember ,I had made big sunflowers ,roses, lilies, ferns, etc using kite paper and crape paper.

Recently,I thought of making flowers with fabric instead of paper. Here ,I share with you all the method of making little flowers that will add elegance to your room.

REQUIREMENTS :

1). Fabric pieces of your choice, plain or printed.
2). Wire for making the stem
3). A pair of scissors.
4). Needle and thread
5). Pearls
6). Glue

PROCEDURE :

STEP 1 :

Cut a rectangular piece from your chosen fabric. For small flowers I have kept the length as 5 inches and breadth as 1 inch.

STEP 2 :

Fold the rectangle piece into half length wise. Now with a needle and thread make running stitch along the side that is open, to close it.

STEP 3 :

Continue it for some distance and then pull the thread to make a frill.
Again do the running stitch till the end and pull the thread to complete the frill.

STEP 4 :

Now, stitch both the endings together neatly as shown in the picture below.

This will give you the shape of a flower.

STEP 5 :

Take a wire for the stem and attach it at the back of the flower. This is slightly typical.
Pass it through one of the thread loop of the running stitch. Then take the wire further to pass it through the second loop that should be opposite to the first loop. Now,twist the wire to lock the flower firmly.
I have chosen silver wire to match with the pink flower.

STEP 6 :

Turn the flower to the front. It will look like the one in the picture below.

To complete it, stick a pearl with the help of glue in the center.
I have stuck white pearl to go with the silver -theme.

Make similar flowers of various colors and bunch them together. I have arranged the flowers in a glass pot filled with colorful stones.

VARIATION :

Use golden color wire for the stem and off-white colored pearls on brown and green flowers to give a classy look that goes with Golden -theme.

55 Fiction... A Question To EACH of YOU

WHY HISTORY ?

There was a time when Mother Earth

Was in scintillating colors ,

With rainbow in the sky,

Flowers in full bloom.

She gyrated to the song of the birds,

Fresh Fragrance of Freedom prevailed.

There were new hopes and aspirations in the air.

Yes,there came such a day on Earth.

And that was the day when YOU were born.

This post has been inspired from my previous post ' I AM SPECIAL '.

I dunno whom to Thank ? God who made me have that dream? OR the Gentleman who wrote those words for me ? Well, I Thank both of them for inspiring me to come up with this post.

Every Year 16th - 22nd April is celebrated as the Earth Week and 22nd April as the Earth Day .I aim at creating awareness about the deteriorating life on this earth. I raise this question to the whole of humanity " Why have Green, happy times become a history ? "

The above photo has been taken from Google Images.

55 Fiction..

There came a day on this Earth,

When

There were scintillating colors and rainbow in the Sky,

Flowers in full bloom.

Earth was dancing to the song of the birds,

There were new hopes and aspirations in the air,

There came such a day on this Earth.

And that was the day when YOU were born Baby !!!

Friends,

It's surprising, but it's true that today ,early in the morning I had a dream. In my dream I saw someone saying these words to me.

I was so touched .I woke up and immediately penned down almost every word that I could remember....And I was able to recall 95% of it.... I still remember his voice and the tone in which he said the last two lines for me... He made me feel so SPECIAL... And so I will give this the title " I AM SPECIAL " .

I .....I N V I T E..... I N V I T A T I O N S.....

Dear Friends,

I have been making ' SHAGUN ENVELOPES ' from the past 4 years. And this time I thought I must share the making with you all.

These envelopes are unique as they are made from Wedding Invitation Cards.I collect all the invitation cards and make use of the blank side ( where no text is written) to make cute envelopes of all shapes and sizes. I think, this way I am making use of the paper available and not letting it go waste.

I have requested all my relatives to keep collecting all the invitation cards they get. There are still few kilos of all sorts of wedding invitations lying in my little ' Art Room ' in the house.Whenever I get free time, I become creative and try making new items. It is loads of fun as this activity doesn't consume much of time and every time I get a new result.I find it very exciting.

All you need to do is just get started with the raw material available.

1). A wedding invitation card .On an average 3 envelopes can be made out of 1 invitaion.
2). A pair of scissors.
3). Glue.
4). Ribbons, laces, colorful beads and stones, etc for decoration.
5). Alternatively, one can also paint on the envelopes making interesting patterns and pictures.

METHOD :

Step One : Cut out the portion of the card where text is written.

Step Two : Use the available blank side by folding it and making the envelope.

Step Three : Paste the edges neatly and keep for drying.

Step Four : Decorate it in your best way.

Over the years I have made hundreds ,here are a few of them.To have a better view you can click on each of the following photo.

The use of Pink satin ribbon and golden lace on any white envelope gives it a very simple and sober look.

Beautiful invitations make beautiful envelopes. :)

I have put Red,White and Golden beads on the envelope here. To complete the design I have stuck Green stones at the end of each bead line.

On this grey envelope, I have stuck MAULI ( Holy Thread of Hindus that is worn on the wrist after religious ceremonies ), giving it the shape of a leaf. Then I struck few rice grains dipped in turmeric powder ( to give Yellow color). At the center there is small sticker of Lord Ganesha.

This pretty flap has been made to give this envelope a different style.

You can use Golden paint to make floral patterns on your masterpieces.Use of the color Gold gives a very rich and classy effect to the envelopes.

This Red one is my favorite.Golden lace on both the sides compliment the Kundan stone at the center making it look so princely.

And these little envelopes are for my little brothers and sisters. I have made these with all my LOVE.

And even after all this hard work and effort I'm being teased everytime by My Little Brother Mickey, who says,

" Sis, I Don't Need yr Love (envelope) ...I Need Only the HARD CASH within it to Party with My Girl Friend " ..... :)

Last But Not The Least : I would like to Thank my friend Sumant Dubey for editing the photographs to make them look more presentable.
