MY STREET DANCER

I am just LOVING LOVING LOVING this ad a lot.........

Not only because it has a very catchy music but because I associate myself with it to a great extent.

I love each and every concept used in this ad;the casting, direction, expressions of actors, perfect timing of the dance steps, music and much more.

Those who do not like this ad I think they have not got the real meaning of it :).Let me share my say on this exceptionally rocking ad.

Oh My !!! Even while writing this post I am continuously listening to its tune... n it's driving me mad... hehehe.I am filled with excitement and joy.:)

This is one of the new Airtel Ads named 'The Street Dancer'.The other one is 'Endless Goodbyes',but I like this one more.

The ad begins with showing a young lad dancing on a busy street. He is doing 'Street Break Dance' when a 'Busy Female Executive' spots him.She cant take her eyes off his super dancing and starts enjoying it. She also notices that this entertainer follows her in every direction she goes ( at 0:18 sec in the video ).She checks her watch ( at 0:28 sec in the video ) and moves on for work,as she can't afford to stay longer. But this dancer now follows her through the crowd and catches up with her.She smiles seeing the boy who makes her happy and who is her favorite entertainer now.He continues dancing while the lady is walking. They both move together enjoying every moment.

The end of this ad shows many busy people in the background moving with their own favorite entertainers. At 0:50 sec in the video, notice two tall clowns, one in red trouser and the other in black, walking with a man.Just in front ,two dwarfs fighting and following a man wearing purple sweater( the ad is shot predicting winters :) .Another entertainer( I see she is a lady ) is shown playing with fire torch moving across the street. This commercial ends with a voiceover stating that in Airtel's world entertainment will never stop, followed by the tag line , 'Dil Jo Chahe Paas Laye.'

The color scheme used in the ad is very apt for the winter season. The green jacket of the street dancer, black formal outfit of the lady, rest being the shades of purple and grey. One word 'PERFECT'.

The addicting song is composed by none other than Mr. A.R. Rahman. The street dancer role is played by Harihar Das from India's Got Talent Khoj 2.The female model is American actress and song writer Demetria Devonne 'Demi' Lovato.

For those wondering how I associate myself with this ad,here I disclose:

I see myself as the busy lady and my 'Street Dancer' is TWITTER ;).

I thank the whole team of Airtel ,especially the ad makers (Mr. Maneesh Rangra,Mr.Adrian Miller,Mr. Mohit Beotra,mr. Ashish Khazanchi,Ms. Shweta Khosla and the entire team ) for bringing up such a wonderful wonderful video and for charging me up all over again.

N.B. Kindly feel free to share your views on the ad and also on my post :)

Flowers

When I was in my 3rd standard, we girls were asked to choose one hobby each for the weekly hobby-classes. Since I never liked embroidery, I didn't choose that.Singing was ( and is still) not my cup of tea,so I ignored that.Games and sports were a part of the curriculum so they were not in the option.I had already joined dance classes elsewhere, so the only option I was left with was FLOWER- MAKING.In school , my teachers taught me to make different kinds of beautiful flowers with paper.I remember ,I had made big sunflowers ,roses, lilies, ferns, etc using kite paper and crape paper.

Recently,I thought of making flowers with fabric instead of paper. Here ,I share with you all the method of making little flowers that will add elegance to your room.

REQUIREMENTS :

1). Fabric pieces of your choice, plain or printed.
2). Wire for making the stem
3). A pair of scissors.
4). Needle and thread
5). Pearls
6). Glue

PROCEDURE :

STEP 1 :

Cut a rectangular piece from your chosen fabric. For small flowers I have kept the length as 5 inches and breadth as 1 inch.

STEP 2 :

Fold the rectangle piece into half length wise. Now with a needle and thread make running stitch along the side that is open, to close it.

STEP 3 :

Continue it for some distance and then pull the thread to make a frill.
Again do the running stitch till the end and pull the thread to complete the frill.

STEP 4 :

Now, stitch both the endings together neatly as shown in the picture below.

This will give you the shape of a flower.

STEP 5 :

Take a wire for the stem and attach it at the back of the flower. This is slightly typical.
Pass it through one of the thread loop of the running stitch. Then take the wire further to pass it through the second loop that should be opposite to the first loop. Now,twist the wire to lock the flower firmly.
I have chosen silver wire to match with the pink flower.

STEP 6 :

Turn the flower to the front. It will look like the one in the picture below.

To complete it, stick a pearl with the help of glue in the center.
I have stuck white pearl to go with the silver -theme.

Make similar flowers of various colors and bunch them together. I have arranged the flowers in a glass pot filled with colorful stones.

VARIATION :

Use golden color wire for the stem and off-white colored pearls on brown and green flowers to give a classy look that goes with Golden -theme.

55 Fiction... A Question To EACH of YOU

WHY HISTORY ?

There was a time when Mother Earth

Was in scintillating colors ,

With rainbow in the sky,

Flowers in full bloom.

She gyrated to the song of the birds,

Fresh Fragrance of Freedom prevailed.

There were new hopes and aspirations in the air.

Yes,there came such a day on Earth.

And that was the day when YOU were born.

This post has been inspired from my previous post ' I AM SPECIAL '.

I dunno whom to Thank ? God who made me have that dream? OR the Gentleman who wrote those words for me ? Well, I Thank both of them for inspiring me to come up with this post.

Every Year 16th - 22nd April is celebrated as the Earth Week and 22nd April as the Earth Day .I aim at creating awareness about the deteriorating life on this earth. I raise this question to the whole of humanity " Why have Green, happy times become a history ? "

55 Fiction..

There came a day on this Earth,

When

There were scintillating colors and rainbow in the Sky,

Flowers in full bloom.

Earth was dancing to the song of the birds,

There were new hopes and aspirations in the air,

There came such a day on this Earth.

And that was the day when YOU were born Baby !!!

Friends,

It's surprising, but it's true that today ,early in the morning I had a dream. In my dream I saw someone saying these words to me.

I was so touched .I woke up and immediately penned down almost every word that I could remember....And I was able to recall 95% of it.... I still remember his voice and the tone in which he said the last two lines for me... He made me feel so SPECIAL... And so I will give this the title " I AM SPECIAL " .

I .....I N V I T E..... I N V I T A T I O N S.....

Dear Friends,

I have been making ' SHAGUN ENVELOPES ' from the past 4 years. And this time I thought I must share the making with you all.

These envelopes are unique as they are made from Wedding Invitation Cards.I collect all the invitation cards and make use of the blank side ( where no text is written) to make cute envelopes of all shapes and sizes. I think, this way I am making use of the paper available and not letting it go waste.

I have requested all my relatives to keep collecting all the invitation cards they get. There are still few kilos of all sorts of wedding invitations lying in my little ' Art Room ' in the house.Whenever I get free time, I become creative and try making new items. It is loads of fun as this activity doesn't consume much of time and every time I get a new result.I find it very exciting.

All you need to do is just get started with the raw material available.

1). A wedding invitation card .On an average 3 envelopes can be made out of 1 invitaion.
2). A pair of scissors.
3). Glue.
4). Ribbons, laces, colorful beads and stones, etc for decoration.
5). Alternatively, one can also paint on the envelopes making interesting patterns and pictures.

METHOD :

Step One : Cut out the portion of the card where text is written.

Step Two : Use the available blank side by folding it and making the envelope.

Step Three : Paste the edges neatly and keep for drying.

Step Four : Decorate it in your best way.

Over the years I have made hundreds ,here are a few of them.To have a better view you can click on each of the following photo.

The use of Pink satin ribbon and golden lace on any white envelope gives it a very simple and sober look.

Beautiful invitations make beautiful envelopes. :)

I have put Red,White and Golden beads on the envelope here. To complete the design I have stuck Green stones at the end of each bead line.

On this grey envelope, I have stuck MAULI ( Holy Thread of Hindus that is worn on the wrist after religious ceremonies ), giving it the shape of a leaf. Then I struck few rice grains dipped in turmeric powder ( to give Yellow color). At the center there is small sticker of Lord Ganesha.

This pretty flap has been made to give this envelope a different style.

You can use Golden paint to make floral patterns on your masterpieces.Use of the color Gold gives a very rich and classy effect to the envelopes.

This Red one is my favorite.Golden lace on both the sides compliment the Kundan stone at the center making it look so princely.

And these little envelopes are for my little brothers and sisters. I have made these with all my LOVE.

And even after all this hard work and effort I'm being teased everytime by My Little Brother Mickey, who says,

" Sis, I Don't Need yr Love (envelope) ...I Need Only the HARD CASH within it to Party with My Girl Friend " ..... :)

Last But Not The Least : I would like to Thank my friend Sumant Dubey for editing the photographs to make them look more presentable.

THE BOOOZEHOUND LOVER

It was time to part

They were having drinks together.

He embraced her tight.

Suddenly,her ' soft drink ' spilled .

Today, he tried this one too.

And said

“ Mama, it is not to my taste…..

Keep it with you

Your each Tear Drop is precious…”

She doted upon him

He too had tears in his eyes…

VIRTUE WINS ...

It was her first time,

She was in a dilemma.

He offered her ...“ Trust me, I’ll not let anything happen to you…” ,

She tried it.

But before she could gulp it down,

The beer was in his mouth ~ ~ ~

“ Your Virtue Wins, I Can’t See You Frowning”.He smiled ...

She blushed …
